Observation RidesThere will be two ways to win an observation ride from the Burning Sky camp. The first is a Lottery and the second is a Raffle. We will publish the camp share information in the Members or the Recent News section at a later date. How the Lottery WorksThe Lottery for Observation Rides will be conducted by picking a particular bead from a bag of colored beads. The first person(s) to pick the Winning color wins a ride. You must be present when the drawing is done or your name is removed from the lottery waiting list. If you don't win and want to hang out for the next drawing, you keep your name on the lottery waiting list. What To Do for the LotteryCome to the Burning Sky camp and put your name on the Lottery waiting List.Hang out and relax. You must be present when we conduct the drawing. We will conduct the Lottery 15-30 minutes before the plane goes up. The winning bead color will be announced just prior to each drawing. The first person on the waiting list will draw a bead from the bag. If it matches the winning color, that person wins a ride. If not, that bead goes back in the bag and the next person on the list draws a bead. If more than one observation seat is available on the plane, we will continue down the list until all observation seats are filled. In order to give as many people as possible a chance to see the aerial view of the city, we will limit each person to winning one observation ride. You must complete a liability waiver before you will be allowed into the plane. When Is the Plane FlyingWe hope to fly (and skydive) from Thursday through early Sunday, weather permitting. We expect to start around mid-day (playa time). Check with us at camp to see when we will be flying. How the Raffle WorksCome to the Burning Sky camp and fill out a raffle card.We will draw a small number of names for Observation Rides at Noon Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The number of names drawn will depend on the number of observation rides available. You do NOT need to be present to win. But you do need to check back in to claim your ride token. Please check back at our camp between the hours of 12 PM and 6 PM to see if you have won. The Token is good for one Observation Ride - for you or for someone else (Gift It). The Token doesn't guarantee a ride... so plan to use the token sooner rather than later. If you wait until Sunday to ride, weather may prevent us from flying, or there may not be any seats left on the plane. If you gift the token, make sure and tell the recipient about this timing. We expect to have 1-2 seats for Observers on each flight -- skydivers will fill the other seats. You must complete a liability waiver before you will be allowed into the plane. |
