Committees
This is a list of camp committees that we need to make Burning Sky function. Our camp is only as good as what we put into it, and we highly encourage participation. It takes an incredible amount of work to run our operation, but if every member donates a mere 4 hours of his/her time during the entire event, we will have another fantastic year.
We know that working a shift is especially difficult after a night of chemically induced hedonism, but seeing a newbie's jaw drop as they view Black Rock City from 13,000 is priceless. Please sign-up for a 4-hour shift as early as possible! After all, giving back to the community is the reason why we come to Burning Man. Ok, it's one of the reasons.
If you have a cool project for our camp, you are by no means restricted to the following committees. The list below is only a skeleton version of what we need to make our camp happen. You are welcome and encouraged to build a flaming swoop pond filled with Jack Daniels, if that is what you want to do. For an idea of what others are working on this year, check out the Projects page.

| Manifest volunteers are responsible for registering pre-paid skydivers and observers. They check the reserve packing card of skydivers, distribute jump tokens, and ensure that a waiver has been signed. Manifest will also put skydivers and observers on loads, and remain in radio contact with the pilot. Manifest shifts are 4 hours long. |

| Observer greeters will welcome paid observers and lottery hopefuls to our camp. They will explain safety procedures of approaching, entering, and exiting the aircraft, and assist each observer in putting on a rig. Observer greeters will also demonstrate how to use the rig in case of an emergency, and help locate seatbelts. They will also be responsible for keeping track of the observer rigs after every load. Observer greeter shifts are 4 hours long. |

They will re-fuel the aircraft as needed, and take down the containment system at the end of the event. The crew will also maintain the gasoline for the mutant vehicle and feed it when it is hungry. |
| Night Jump Ground Crew |
George Lake |
10+ |
| The ground crew will assist in crowd control for our night jumps, set up the landing lights in our landing area, and maintain radio contact with the plane to relay wind conditions. If we are doing multiple night jumps, the ground crew will also be responsible for setting up and taking down landing lights on the runway for our pilot. |
| Image Team |
Chris Norton |

| The image team collects (and takes) photos and video of our activities, and arranges for them to be displayed and made available to interested parties. The team ensures the timely distribution of visual materials to the Burning Man organization and the Burning Sky web site. |
